The Rotary Club of Jimboomba belongs to Rotary District 9640 which encompasses an area covering part of South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. The club was officially chartered in 1986 and has played a very active, prominent role in the local community in many varied ways. As well, our club has greatly contributed to important national and international projects that substantially help people in need.
Our membership is made up of dedicated people who believe strongly in Rotary‘s motto of “Service Above Self”. Our active members are made up of people who are small business operators, professionals and retirees, ranging in age from mid 20’s to latter years.
We meet every Tuesday at Dorrington House, Johanna Street Jimboomba. 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start to 9.00. A meal is included. Anyone can attend and new members are always welcome.

Also, over the years, our club has contributed greatly to various youth projects such as sponsored youth exchanges with international students, sponsoring participants at national youth science forums and innovative leadership development courses.
Finally, our club has organised a Rotary Interact Club at Hills International College, and is in the process of organising another Interact Club as well as A Rotary Rotaract club for young adults.
The Objects of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
