Rotary Youth Exchange AustraliaThe Rotary Club of Jimboomba with Rotary District 9640 is committed to sponsoring young people in the Rotary Youth Exchange Australia program.
The Rotary Youth Exchange program provides an opportunity of a lifetime for Australian high school students to live and study abroad. Students can spend up to 12 months living and studying overseas in a foreign country.
It is an amazing, life-changing experience where you will learn a lot about yourself, the culture of your adopted host families and the diversity of your host country. Participating in a Rotary Youth Exchange program will give you the opportunity to:
- Rdevelop life-long leadership skills
- Rimprove your language skills of the host country
- Rgrow and strengthen your independence
- Rexperience new things and ideas that you cannot find at home
- Rdevelop your character and personality
- Rcreate long-lasting friendships and connections
The Jimboomba club has hosted 24 international students for 12 month stays from North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia and we have helped 22 local students exchange with these countries. The club’s assistance has been both financial and supportive and several of our members have been involved with our District 9640 Youth Exchange Program and continue to help administer and promote this very worthwhile program.
